Itinerary:
Arrive Copenhagen and transfer to your central hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel and day at leisure in Copenhagen. Copenhagen’s a charming city with a thousand years of history. These are the same medieval streets; the same streets walked on by every generation of the world’s oldest royal family, the same streets and canals which have inspired artists for centuries and been home and workplace to meticulous craftsmen and famous designers. The city offers many attractions such as the famous Tivoli amusement park, the statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, the Royal Palace Amalienborg and many more. Copenhagen is also famous for its cafes and bakeries. Your guided sightseeing tour will take in the must see sights.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and travel by train from Copenhagen to Stockholm.
On arrival, make your way to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure in Sweden’s beautiful capital.
Built on 14 islands, in Stockholm you’re never far from the water. Sights of interest are the Vasa Museum, the Skansen Open Air Museum, City Hall, the Old Town (Gamla Stan) and much more. Join your guide after breakfast for a tour of the must see sights.
Day at leisure until later afternoon transfer to the port for your overnight cruise to Helsinki. The route is a scenic one weaving around the myriads of islands which form the Finnish Archipelago.
Arrive Helsinki mid morning. Helsinki’s an easy and compact city to move around and this morning you take a sightseeing tour of the most interesting parts of the city. Visit the historical centre, the City Hall, the Parliament buildings, Finlandia Hall and the Opera House. See the Sibelius Monument and Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church). Afternoon at leisure.
Check out from your hotel, transfer to the airport and fly to Ivalo (flight not included). Transfer to your hotel situated in the wilderness of Lapland.
One of the best ways to explore your pristine surrounds is by snowshoes. Join your guide today for a snowshoe walk and along the way, they will stop to talk about Lapland nature and life.
This evening it’s time to experience the exhilaration of snowmobiling. Travelling away from the resort, you’ll be looking for open areas which viewing the Northern Lights is optimal. The driving distance depends on the weather conditions and depending on Nature, the sky could fill with Northern Lights.
Dreaming of being a husky musher? Well today is the day for the chance to give it a go with a visit to the husky farm. After meeting the hardworking huskies – who pull up to five times their weight without any effort – it’s time to drive your own husky team with a passenger seated in the sleigh. It’s a pretty speedy ride so hold on to your beanie!
This morning we meet Lapland’s most loved animal – reindeers! After a talk on reindeer husbandry and an opportunity to ‘lasso’ a reindeer, set off on a sedate sleigh ride through the snow laden forest. Sit back, relax and drink in the quietness and beauty of your pristine surroundings. To end off a perfect experience, enjoy tasty soup and hot drinks around the fire.
If you’re up for testing your balance skills this afternoon then trying cross country skiing is the challenge. All equipment will be supplied and after some instruction from your guide on skiing techniques, you’ll have plenty of time to practise and hone your skills.
Your final night in this beautiful environment and what better way to round it off than by doing another search for the Northern Lights? Seated in a sleigh drawn by a snowmobile, travel through the wilderness to a special Aurora camp site. Seated around the fire with hot drinks, your guide will tell you about the Lights and Nature willing, the sky will fill with this unique phenomenon.
After breakfast, check out from your wilderness hotel and travel by road through the remote landscapes of northern Lapland and into Norway. Overnight in Kirkenes before beginning your Havila coastal voyage the following day.

After breakfast, make your way to the Havila terminal and board your ship for your spectacular six-day journey south along the Norwegian coast.
Depart Kirkenes around midday and begin sailing west along the remote Finnmark coastline. During the afternoon and evening, the ship calls at small coastal communities including Vardø, Båtsfjord and Berlevåg.
Settle into life onboard and enjoy full board dining, panoramic lounges and wonderful views across the Arctic coastline.
Continue south through the dramatic landscapes of Finnmark, calling at remote Arctic communities as the ship follows Norway’s far northern coastline.
During the day, pass through areas including Mehamn, Kjøllefjord and Honningsvåg before reaching Hammerfest.
As you continue west and south, the broad Arctic landscape gradually gives way to steeper mountains and deep fjords.
Late this evening, arrive in Tromsø, known as the Gateway to the Arctic. During winter, keep watch for the Northern Lights, while summer travellers can experience the long daylight hours and Midnight Sun.
Next, we’ll return to the stunning and picturesque Vesterålen and Lofoten Islands. We will enter the Vesterålen region in the morning, and in the evening we visit Lofoten. Along the coastline, you’ll discover chalky, white, and sandy beaches alongside charming fishing villages, which still thrive on a vibrant fishing industry. The locals rely on coastal ships for everyday transportation. If the weather permits it, we’ll venture into the narrow Trollfjord. Enjoy a longer early-evening stop in Svolvær before continuing to Stamsund. Weather permitting, the ship may also sail into Trollfjord, a narrow and dramatic fjord surrounded by steep mountain walls.
At this juncture of our journey, we have ventured so far south that we have left the polar land behind and crossed the Arctic Circle. However, during winter, you may still witness the Northern Lights illuminating the night sky, while summer brings the magical midnight sun. As we sail, we’ll pass by numerous small islands, islets, and skerries, including the unique Torghatten mountain, which features a hole in its center. If you’re up for it, consider joining us for a hike on the mountain and explore the cavern.
We’ll sail through the vast Trondheim fjord, flanked by rolling farmland on either side, before reaching the coast and the open sea once more. If you wish to disembark, Kristiansund offers the opportunity for a scenic bus tour along the Atlantic Ocean Road, considered one of the world’s most beautiful drives. The road winds along islets and skerries, and after the tour, you can rejoin us in Molde.
You may wish to visit the impressive Nidaros Cathedral, wander through the colourful Bakklandet district or stroll beside the Nidelva River.
On the final day of your journey, we’ll take you through a varied coastal landscape that features rugged rocky mountains and an intricate network of straits and waterways between countless islands. The magnificent fjords and glaciers are located further inland. Our voyage concludes in Bergen, but you have the opportunity to join us for one last adventure – a captivating excursion through the city’s history, flavors, and breathtaking views.

Day at leisure to explore the picturesque city of Bergen. Founded in 1070, Bergen has gained a place on UNESCO’S World Heritage List and the old architecturally unique Hanseatic wharf is a delight to explore.
Today you travel to Oslo on the scenic Bergen Railway, the breathtaking Flåm Railway, the narrow and dramatic Nærøyfjord, and with a bus trip through the beautiful winter scenery of Western Norway. This is a wonderful experience whether winter or summer taking you through the most maginificent scenery by train, coach and on a silent electric fjord cruise on the UNESCO-protected Nærøyfjord. It is an experience which gives you the best fjord- and mountain scenery Western Norway has to offer, in a comfortable and sustainable way. Arrive Oslo early evening.
Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by wooded hills. It offers many well-known sights such as the Opera House, the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum. Get to know the city with a guided sightseeing tour taking you past the famous sights.

Traveller names must exactly match the passport used for travel, including all given names and surnames. Incorrect details may result in fees or difficulties with travel arrangements.
Travellers are responsible for ensuring passports meet the validity and entry requirements of all countries visited. For the Schengen Area, Australian passports generally must:

Nordic itineraries may involve walking on snow/ice, uneven surfaces, stairs, boats, snowmobiles, carrying luggage and extended periods outdoors in cold weather. Activities may have age, height, health, mobility or licensing requirements.
Medical conditions, mobility limitations and accessibility needs should be advised at booking so suitable arrangements can be considered.
Dietary requirements and allergies should be advised at booking. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate them, but cannot guarantee this, particularly in remote or wilderness locations. Travellers with serious allergies should also confirm requirements directly with meal providers.
Travellers on self-drive itineraries are responsible for holding the appropriate licence for the destination and rental provider. A valid physical licence may also be required for activities such as snowmobiling.
Accommodation will be booked in the room category shown on your confirmed itinerary. Scandinavian rooms may be smaller than Australian equivalents and configurations can differ.
Twin rooms commonly have two single beds, sometimes positioned together. Additional beds may be sofa or rollaway beds. Double rooms may also use two single beds together, with separate doonas.
If accommodation must change due to circumstances outside our control, we will seek a similar or higher standard wherever possible.
Porterage is generally not included. Travellers should be comfortable managing their own luggage.
Some trains, flights, coaches, ferries, transfers and vehicles have luggage limits. Any applicable restrictions will be advised in your travel documents. One manageable suitcase per person is recommended. Excess luggage charges are the traveller’s responsibility.
Scandinavian and Lapland travel can involve very cold temperatures, snow, ice and rapidly changing weather. Appropriate thermal layers, waterproof outerwear, gloves, hats and suitable footwear are essential. Summer weather can also change quickly, so rain protection is recommended.
Weather, road conditions or operational issues may require activities or transport to be delayed, modified, rescheduled or replaced. Safety takes priority, and suitable alternatives will be arranged where reasonably possible.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. Sightings depend on solar activity, weather, cloud cover and darkness. Tours are designed to maximise viewing opportunities but cannot guarantee a sighting.
Weather, transport schedules, supplier operations and other circumstances may require changes to accommodation, transport, activities or itinerary order. Where possible, comparable alternatives will be arranged and significant changes communicated.
Changes and cancellations are subject to supplier conditions and may incur fees. Some services are non-refundable from booking, with Christmas/New Year arrangements often having stricter conditions.
